Council
- Council consists of 5 members, all elected At-Large within the city limits of Durango.
- Terms are 4 years; limited to 2 consecutive terms
- Mayor is not an elected position. Mayor is selected by the council and serves one-year terms.
- Mayor Pro-Tem is done similarly.
- Compensation (2013 Primer): $500 per month ($750 for the mayor), plus medical, dental and vision benefits.
